The 1975 BMW 3.0 CSL ‘Batmobile’ is the 49th of just 57 second-series “Batmobile” examples produced so there certainly many others of these knocking around on the open roads out there and doubtful any in such a good condition as this one. It has been finished in its factory-correct Taiga Metallic (072) over black colour combination and the visual impact of this impressive machine is second to none and will turn heads aplenty out there.

This glorious looking machine has already generated a lot of interest and it forms part of RM Sotheby’s Amelia Island auction. It is powered by its numbers-matching 3.2-litre, straight six-cylinder engine and it comes desirably equipped with Alpina wheels, aluminium body panels, Scheel sport seats, power steering, and electric rear windows – so the performance it offers is matched only by its unparalleled visual vibrancy.
