Safe to say there have been some pretty iconic artists over the centuries and it can be difficult to know how best to celebrate their brazen awesomeness but we think we’ve found someone who is well and truly on the right track in the form of talented illustrator Kyle Hilton and his spiffing collection of Art History Paper Dolls.
For anyone with even a modicum of interest in the world of art, the characters captured in his fantastic illustrative series will be extremely familiar because Hilton has lent his design talents to the likes of Salvador Dali, Jackson Pollock and Leonardo Da Vinci and each one of his cut-out illustrations comes replete with a host of excellent accessories pertinent to the artist in question. We big fans of the humorous nature of these designs from Hilton and they have clearly been devised with tongue firmly in cheek. Take a look at a few of the best below:
We’re not huge culture vultures here at Coolector HQ but we do like a bit of art from time to time and it’s always great to see the artists celebrated in new and innovative ways such as this cracking illustration endeavour from Kyle Hilton. Boasting some funny nods to the artists character, such as “Includes brooding artist action” for Jackson Pollock, we’re sure that there will be plenty of art lovers out there who will love this great project for its own artistic merits.
