Though we typically gravitate towards the classic Porsches and Ferraris here at The Coolector, we do regularly get our heads turned by more modern vehicles as well and that is certainly the case with this stunning 1992 Lancia Delta Futurista by Automobili AMOS which was up for sale with the guys at Collecting Cars. This magnificent-looking beast is a truly exceptional bespoke modern reinterpretation of the iconic Delta Integrale, which has been fully redesigned and rebuilt by the team at Automobili Amos to exacting standards.
Beautiful to look at and all business under the hood, this glorious contraption is powered by an upgraded 2.0-litre turbocharged 16-valve inline-four engine, capable of delivering 330bhp, driving all four wheels via a reinforced five-speed manual transmission with a rebuilt limited-slip differential. Impressive stuff, no? This Delta Futurista is number three of only 20 examples to be produced so you’ll be in exceptionally exclusive company if you manage to get your hands on it.
This phenomenal 1992 Lancia Delta Futurista has had one owner from new, and the odometer shows a mere 2,614 Km (1,624 miles) so it is presented in a remarkably good condition. Crafted by the team at Automobili Amos to their client’s specifications, it is based around an original Lancia Delta chassis but is otherwise completely re-engineered, boasting a wider hand-beaten aluminium body, a carbon-fibre ‘confango’ all-in-one bonnet and wings, and a carbon-fibre boot lid, spoiler and rear bumper, alongside the removal of the rear doors in favour of a three-door design, allowing the car to weigh 90 kilograms less than the original.
Finished in Grigio Lago Maggiore with Anthracite, Rosso Alfa Romeo and carbon-fibre trim accents, over an Anthracite Alcantara-trimmed interior, really bought to life by red contrast stitching and seat belts, with carbon-fibre trim inserts, it’s hard not to be blown away by the aesthetics of this Lancia Futurista. The factory specification includes a multifunctional steering wheel, aluminium pedals, electric windows, air conditioning, Recaro sport seats, a digital clock, LED headlights, an integrated roll cage, and an ‘overboost’ button.
