It is the case now that, regardless of how far from civilisation we trek, we will want to typically take our plethora of gadgets with us, be this smart phones, kindles, cameras and MP3 devices and because of this there will always be a need for charging apparatus on hand. However, when you’re out in the sticks or halfway up a mountain, you need something a good deal more rugged and resilient than the norm and something that won’t let you down from a performance point of view – put simply, you need a PowerPill.
The PowerPill is the design vision of Max Ashford of Falmouth University in the UK and alongside his talented photographer / videographer friend, Lewis Gillingham, they have mounted a very compelling argument for why their concept design should be hitting shelves near you. We love the spirit of adventure here at Coolector HQ and in order to document said adventures, technology is a must and the PowerPill could be just the thing to fuel your array of gadgetry during trips into the wild.
The beauty of the PowerPill lays in its striking design and impressive capabilities and it was conceived as part of a live project with ShelterBox to think of technology that can help power the equipment of aid workers when in the field and the end result is a genuinely stunning looking piece of apparatus. The fact that the PowerPill has been designed as part of a university project is rather extraordinary and we dare say that there will be plenty of brands out there wanting to turn this vision into a tangible reality. The PowerPill looks great, serves an admirable function and can be considered a must-have for any adventurous soul and that makes it alright in our book here at Coolector HQ.
