It’s abundantly clear that we’ve got a certain penchant for the unusual here at Coolector HQ and this is especially true when the stuff in question is as bonkers, but brilliant, as these Vintage Book Sculptures from Guy Laramee.
Guy Laramee is a Montreal based artist and his elaborate intricate book sculptures have been causing a stir for some time now and his latest series of work is just as eye-catching and meticulously crafted as we’ve all come to expect from this talented fellow.
Depicting everything from snowy mountain to barren desert landscapes, these incredible carvings are hewn right into the pages and covers of books and look nothing short of extraordinary. You can take a look at a few more shots of these spectacular sculptures below:
With each carving taking a significant amount of time (as you’d expect from such meticulous work) it’s hard not to be impressed with the Canadian’s attention to detail and out and out skill in producing such thought provoking and engaging work.
We love design pieces like this from Laramee here at Coolector HQ and this is just the latest in an ongoing series from the artist so we can’t wait to see what else he has in store for 2016.
