When travelling around, founding a hotel room with unmatched views is something that is worth its weight in gold and, invariably, will cost a pretty penny but, in our opinion here at Coolector HQ, is well worth it for the memories it will deliver. With that in mind, we’ve compiled a list of 8 hotels with incredible views located all over the world.
Check out our pick of hotels with unbeatable views below:
Belmond Sanctuary Lodge, Machu Picchu
It’s fair to say that Machu Picchu is on the bucket list of most travellers, so the opportunity to stay at a hotel with this mesmerising locale right on your doorstep is impossible to ignore. Well, that’s exactly what you get with the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge which is the only hotel located at the entrance to Machu Picchu, and this highly luxurious retreat has the added benefit of letting you beat the citadel’s crowds.
Cavallo Point Hotel, San Francisco
If you find yourself in California, a trip to San Francisco is a must and, needless to say, when there, you’ll likely find yourself gravitating towards the Golden Gate Bridge. But what if you could have a view of this iconic structure right from your hotel room? Well, with the great looking Cavallo Point Hotel, situated in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, you can have exactly that. Located on Fort Baker, a former U.S. Army post, this superbly located hotel boasts impeccably restored historic guestrooms. These historic buildings – formerly officers’ residences – are situated on expansive green space encircling the parade ground with Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco skyline views. Not one to be missed.
Aman Hotel, Venice
One of Italy’s most alluring cities, few hotel rooms will give you a better view of the grand canals of Venice than the extraordinarily luxurious and well appointed Aman Hotel on the banks of the river. This stunning hotel is a breathtaking vision and is located within a 16th-century palazzo on the Grand Canal. It is home to museum-quality treasures including Tiepolo frescoes, gilded ceilings and centuries-old leather wall coverings so a stay here will really give a flavour of what Venice was like hundreds of years ago but with all the contemporary luxuries you’d demand.
Post Ranch Inn, Big Sur
Big Sur is one of America’s most enchanting areas of natural beauty and the Post Ranch Inn puts you in the heart of all it has to offer and delivers hotel rooms with jaw-dropping views out onto the Pacific Ocean. This extraordinarily well located hotel is, as you might expect, rather expensive for a stay but for these money can’t buy views, it’s understandable. The Post Ranch Inn is situated 1200 feet above the Pacific Ocean and boasts natural architecture which hugs Big Sur’s dramatic coastline and has 39 exceptional rooms which blend rustic sophistication, comfort and privacy with panoramic ocean or mountain views.
Shangri La at The Shard, London
The Shard, albeit one of the newer additions to the London skyline, has rapidly become one of its most recognisable and you can stay in this spectacular building at the Shagri-La at The Shard Hotel which delivers out of this world views of the London skyline from many of the magnificent rooms within. Located on floors 34 to 52 of The Shard, this gloriously luxurious hotel really does have some of the most incredible views of the UK’s capital city and if you want to really stay in style, the Shagri-La is the place to do it.
Park Hyatt Hotel, Sydney
Sydney Harbour is a must-see for any visitors to Australia and you’ll not get any better views of it than from the Park Hyatt Hotel. Situated in the buzzing Rocks village area of the city, which is filled with cobbled laneways, cafés, art galleries, museums, and luxury stores, the Park Hyatt delivers utterly unrivalled views of Sydney Opera House from many of the hotel’s rooms and communal areas. Boasting a stunning roof top swimming pool where you can catch the rays and enjoy amazing views of the city, this would certainly be one of our first choice hotels if we find ourselves in Sydney here at Coolector HQ.
Ulusaba, South Africa
Ulusaba is Sir Richard Branson’s private game reserve in South Africa and has a name which translates to ‘place of little fear’, so named because the koppie, or hill, on which Rock Lodge sits provided the ancient Shangaan tribal warriors with the perfect lookout point. This incredible resort has 21 rooms and suites spread over two lodges and is located entirely within the Sabi Sand Reserve near Kruger National Park, and surround by 13,500 hectares of open bush filled with abundant wildlife. The hills of Ulusaba are stunning as they rise above the surrounding terrain, and deliver a view unrivalled anywhere else in the reserve.
