Throne Watch 1.0

We’ve been aware of Throne Watches here at Coolector HQ for some time now and have been left mightily impressed with their capabilities in breathing new life into watches through the addition of a striking new strap. However, the time has now come for the Brooklyn based purveyors of timepieces to step away from repurposed watches and offer a timepiece of their very own and, as you might expect, it is a most stylish offering indeed – say hello to Throne Watch 1.0.

This very first branded Throne Watch in designed in Brooklyn and made in the USA and it is the company’s first foray into delivering their very own wristwatch after two years of rejuvenating old watches with their fantastic handmade leather straps. It stands to reason that anyone so capable at making brilliant watch straps should have a stab at making a watch of their own and, we’re happy to report, Throne Watch 1.0 definitely doesn’t disappoint from a visual or functionality perspective.

The new Throne Watch 1.0 certainly has some impressive characteristics that belies the fact it is the Brooklyn brand’s first wristwatch offering. Just a few of these features include a 50m water resistance, 40mm stainless steel casing, Swiss Ronda 1004 Slimtech Quartz Movement and a 100% American-made leather strap that improves with age and which lasts for years. As you can see, the quality and craftsmanship of the Throne Watch 1.0 is second to none and it represents another great entry into the American watchmaking tradition. The project is currently being funded over on Kickstarter and has already met its target with three weeks remaining which is testament to how much people are wanting a well-priced, stylish and superbly crafted American-made timepiece and Throne have undoubtedly delivered on all three fronts.
