Though nesting dolls aren’t something that we require massively here at Coolector HQ, it’s probably clear by now that we are invariably won over by quirky projects that have a pop culture reference at their core and that, sir, is why we are so massively enamoured with these cracking Andy Stattmiller Nesting Dolls which capture some of our favourite characters from television and the silver screen.
Andy Stattmiller is an illustrator and designer operating out of San Francisco, California, who boasts a mightily impressive body of work but it is his first rate Nesting Dolls that have really captured our imaginations here at The Coolector. Committing the likes of Walter White, various superheroes and the cast of The Big Lebowski to his hand-painted dolls is undoubtedly enough to leave us impressed and these fantastically inventive pieces are just the sort of thing that we’d happily have cluttering up our workspace. Check out a few of the best below:
Art is something that we’re abhorrent at here at The Coolector so we love it when we come across those with a genuine flair for it and this is unquestionably a compliment which can be paid to Andy Stattmiller and his excellent Nesting Dolls series. The fact that we love most of the pop culture programmes that he’s reference certainly helps but we can’t wait to see what is next on his radar when it comes to this visually engaging series of artwork.
