We don’t know about you but there is something about a restored Land Rover that we find impossible to ignore here at The Coolector (probably just us) and to sate this appetite, you’ll invariably find us lurking on the pages of the Arkonik site, perusing their new builds. The latest to have caught our eye is their superb looking Rhapsody D110 Land Rover Defender that is one of their coolest and most wilderness-ready to date – a fact they tested by taking it on a road trip with JP Cooper – a real aficionado of the Great Outdoors.
Arkonik are invariably one of the most adept and talented workshops when it comes to restoring Defenders and this Rhapsody D110 is a fine example of this fact in action. For those who demand nothing but the best from a restoration, Arkonik should invariably be your first port of call and they have been painstakingly restoring Land Rovers for well over a decade now and have become masters of their craft. This Rhapsody D110 Defender from Arkonik really is an astoundingly luxurious machine, ready to tackle terrains wherever your adventures may take you.
HEAD INTO THE WILD
Needless to say, Land Rover Defenders are long established as one of the most uncompromising and outdoors ready vehicles on the market but when they have undergone a restoration from Arkonik, you can ramp that up considerably because they are treated to some thoroughly impressive add-ons and perks not typically seen in a factory model Defender. This Rhapsody D110 is no exception and it has been given the royal Arkonik treatment for its lucky recipient. Using a 1990 Defender as its base, there is a pleasing vintage vibe to this one that we’re loving here at The Coolector and you’ll be blown away with just how feature packed it is.
The Arkonik Rhapsody D110 Land Rover Defender ($210k) boasts Epsom Green coachwork that is about as retro as it get and it positively envelops this classic 110 Station Wagon and will ensure that it turns heads everywhere it goes. Offset with a Chawton White roof and matching steel rims, it’s an aesthetic which will appease the purists and charm the public alike. Off-grid adventures are ultimately its reason for existence, however, thanks to a Front Runner® rack and roof-top tent, WARN® Zeon 12-S winch and ever-dependent BFGoodrich® rubber.
Things are no less luxurious or eye-catching on the inside of this iconic looking Defender from Arkonik. On the interior you’ll find swathes of Cavalier Brown vintage leather which provides the occupants with a sense of decadence whilst retaining optimum practicality for all your adventuring needs. With a 2+2+4 configuration, this Defender can adapt to all scenarios effortlessly. A Grey suede headlining keeps the interior space light and airy and a Pioneer® touch-screen infotainment system complete with Apple CarPlay® brings it firmly into the 21st century. Another stunning build from Arkonik.
