Comfort is something incredibly important to us here at Coolector HQ and given our immense propensity for spending vast swathes of the day sitting down, it is high time that we turned our attention to a form of seating that will alleviate any comfort issues in one fell swoop and, with this in mind, we’re finding it difficult to look beyond one of the most iconic pieces of furniture of the 20th century – namely, Charles Eames’ painfully luxurious Lounge Chair and Ottoman.

We’re firm fans of the Don Draper-esque lifestyle here at The Coolector and whilst we’re entirely incapable of quaffing scotch during our lunch hour and our lothario skills are lacking but we can certainly replicate the good man’s office aesthetic with the use of one of these stunning Charles Eames Lounge Chairs. Originally released in the 1940’s and first designed as a birthday gift for Eames’ close friend, the movie director, Billy Wilder, the Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman has lost none of its immense charm and iconic status over the last half century and remains one of the most popular and sought after pieces of designer furniture in the world and we’re no different here at Coolector HQ in having fallen for its charms.
