Worn by Olympians, soldiers, rock stars, and fictional characters alike, today we pay homage to the forever-brilliant Converse. Delightfully, we at The Coolector are graced with the latest Converse creation, in the very shape of the First String Crepe Collection. Emblazoned with a thick gum rubber soul throughout, the Crepe’s pay homage to vintage Converse design patterns, with a silhouette of the forever-popular badminton low top, that wouldn’t be lost in 70’s NYC.
As is standard Converse procedure, the Crepe’s come complete in an array of colours with black/natural, navy/natural, and white/natural providing ample choice to suit your personal tastes. You don’t need us to tell you what to match your Converse with; as they’re adaptable enough to be worn with either casual or formal wear, but we’ll provide you with our opinion anyway.
As a result of the statement rubber soul, the Crepes are best suited to casual attire, with stylish shorts providing a first-rate combination for an overall summer look. If however you fear exposing those pasty white pins, play it safe with a pair of navy/black skinnies or something of that ilk. Check out a few more shots of this spiffing footwear below:
Desperate to appease the expectations of ardent fans, Converse have once more acted in a classy steadfast notion to satisfy their army of moreish devotees. We can’t help but applaud the work of the Converse chaps, as it’s no easy feat sprouting out design after design, whilst working to the Mentos of maintaining originality.
So, if after reading this, you are of the opinion that perhaps the Crepes aren’t quite your thing then, at the very least, head to the depths of your wardrobe and hunt down those dirt-ridden, battered Converse you bought ten years ago and sport them once more for nostalgia’s sake.
