Cups for the Empire

We’re not going to apologise for the fact that we’re thoroughly looking forward to the new Star Wars movie here at Coolector HQ and how we choose to show this excitement by trying to unearth all manner of Star Wars related awesomeness and the latest piece to have garnered our attention is these superb looking Cups for the Empire which are the work of Gothenburg artist, Estzer Imre.

Taking their inspiration from the aesthetic of the Storm Trooper suits, these ace looking porcelain vessels are both minimally pleasing and boast the Star Wars edge that we crave here at Coolector HQ. When it comes to iconic movies, Star Wars is right up there with the best of them and it is little wonder that it is constantly serving as a catalyst for creativity and so it proves once again with this great Cups for the Empire project. Such is our affinity for Star Wars here at Coolector HQ, we’re more than bowled over by things with links to the movie even as tenuous as this and we love the way in which Imre has photographed the mugs that she has created because it definitely adds to their already immeasurable amount of appeal.
