We’ve certainly covered our fair share of motorbikes here on the pages of The Coolector and we’re always on the lookout for new steeds to turn our heads and we’ve just found one in the shape of this extraordinary looking Diamond Atelier GROOT Motorcycle which boasts a bold visual impact and top class performance to boot. This majestic looking machine from the Diamond Atelier workshop heralds the latest series of bikes from this cracking brand and with prices starting at just €21,950, it represents a fantastic bit of business for those after a striking new machine.
The Diamond Atelier GROOT Motorcycle continues the workshop’s theme of naming their machines after character’s from the Marvel universe (with one of their flagship bikes taking inspiration from the Iron Man franchise). It is called GROOT because nothing suits the bike better than riding through the forest and off roads and that’s something that is synonymous with the famous little tree monster, GROOT, from Guardians of the Galaxy.
Ride in Style
Visually superior, the Diamond Atelier GROOT Motorcycle is built upon a BMW 248-type frame – which is a slightly different version of the well-known 247 – and provides great aesthetics and performance to boot. The main distinction to Diamond Atelier’s previous donor bikes is that this one has a shorter swing arm with a dual shock. With the decision to choose a BMW again they were able to make sure they could deliver these GROOT motorbikes quickly and in a constant high quality.
The Diamond Atelier GROOT Motorcycle aims to deliver a bike that is clean and well balanced enough to unmistakably be a true Diamond Atelier build, but also functional enough to perform outside city traffic on unpaved roads. They finally came up with what they consider to be the best design for this project. But a never before seen design requires things such as the bodywork being built entirely from scratch and walking the extra mile with many parts, such as a custom-made rear frame for the duo shock swing arm or gas tank design incorporating the Motogadget speedo.
Impressively built, the Diamond Atelier GROOT Motorcycle comes equipped with completely refurbished and black anodized 53mm USD forks in combination with double 320mm brake discs rotating in 6 piston Tokico calipers each. The latter connected to an ABM radial brake pump through steel-braided. In addition, the wheel set are the 17“ BMW Snowflake rims with TKC 80 tires and the BMW R65 engine has been fully rebuilt. Diamond Atelier teamed up with well-known performance house Siebenrock which develops power parts for BMW airheads and used the stunning 860ccm PowerKit to get a massive increase of torque and horsepower.
Plenty of Personalisation Options
One of the best things about the Diamond Atelier GROOT Motorcycle is the fact that you have plenty of opportunities to personalise it to your tastes if you are looking to order one. The highlight option is the choice between two different gas tanks. Or if you have two paint jobs in mind and can’t decide, then you can always take both. The gas tank on this build can be changed in less than 5 min thanks to a neat plug and play design.
Additionally, if you want a helmet painted in the same colour as your Diamond build, they have joined forces with British helm helmet brand, Hedon, to take care of their custom orders. We love the design aesthetic of this fantastic steed here at Coolector HQ and if you’re in need of a new motorbike in 2019 and want to push the boat out a little then look no further.
