If you’re into your fitness, chances are you will have burnt through a fair few different types of dumbbells and free weights over the years in search of something that provides the right sort of workout and versatility and, with this in mind, we are drawn towards a project on Behance called Dumbbell 1/2 by South Korean industrial designer, HyeonCheol Lee.
The Dumbell 1/2 aims to reimagine this form of free weight as we know it traditionally in order to provide a much more functional and useful workout tool that can be used for a number of different exercises. This clever piece of design is described as a multi-functional piece of exercise equipment for work outs at home and it’s design draw comes from the fact it has cut the traditional dumbbell in half to provide a mechanism for a much more comprehensive workout. Take a look at a few more shots below:
We’re all for innovative design here at Coolector HQ and that’s certainly something that can be levelled at the Dumbbell 1/2 creation from HyeonCheol Lee which really does take the regular dumbbell that we’re all familiar with and make it considerably more useful and versatile for those who like to workout at home. Though this isn’t yet a commercially available product, given its functionality we dare say it will be before too long.
