Though it has been a good few years since The Wire came to an end, that doesn’t diminish its awesomeness at all and that’s why plenty of people out there are still championing its cause and few have done it better of late than Elliot Lim and his brilliantly innovative animation of The Wire.
Elliot Lim is a California based designer and illustrator and he created this awesome animation project off the back of his love for the hit HBO show. Generally regarded as one of the finest pieces of television in history, The Wire remains just as topical today as it ever was and there’s little doubting it remains in our top three shows here at Coolector HQ.
Lim has captured the essence of the programme brilliantly in a minimalist style and if you’ve got a soft spot for McNulty, Stringer Bell, Bunk et al then you’ll find this project just as gratifying as us. Check out the video and a few more stills below:

Fortunately, there have been a number of great shows since to help fill the void left by The Wire but ace design projects like this one from California graphic designer, Elliot Lim help remind us just how great the show was. A first rate project and one that has left us thoroughly impressed here at Coolector HQ.
