Of all the British watchmakers on the market, Farer are definitely one of our favourites here at Coolector HQ so we always eagerly anticipate new releases from the brand and they’ve not let us down with their latest offering, the Farer 2019 Bernina Gran Turismo Collection. This new series of timepieces from Farer will certainly resonate with fans of classic style, racing inspired watches and there are a few different options to choose from within this new range so you’re sure to find something that fits the bill for you.
Check out the best pieces from the Farer 2019 Bernina Gran Turismo Collection below:
Farer Bernina Watch – £1675
The Farer Bernina Watch (£1675) is a hand-wound Chronograph watch with matte off-white dial, 3 sub-dials and perforated Barenia bridle leather strap and it is about as classy as it comes and will add a touch of dapperness to any wrist. The Bernina is a mix of textured whites and racing-themed colour highlights, making it a contemporary timepiece built to be a striking and bold addition to any wrist. The main dial plate is set in flat matte off-white with the triple sub-dial layout punctuated by brilliant white embossed top twin sub-dials.
The main 60 second chronograph hand sits as a sharp line of racing red along with the dauphine style hour/minute hands – which are infilled in Super-LumiNova Grade A – and gloss red multi overprinted hour numerals edge the dial, all held by the internal telemetre scale. The whole thing is framed by a ceramic bezel and engraved with a racing red tachymeter scale to complete the Bernina alpine sports look and it’s fair to say that this is Farer at its boldest. (£1675)
Farer Cresta Watch – £1675
Another bold addition to the Bertina GT Collection, the Farer Cresta Watch (£1675) is machined for high-precision use and the elegantly-shaped Farer Hand-Wound Chronograph case is crafted from high-grade 316L stainless steel, and finished with a circular-brushed top and horizontal-brushed side.
Set against a highly-polished back that’s individually numbered around the rim, the case sits effortlessly on the wrist and measures just 43mm lug-to-lug and 12.9mm in height, including the domed box case front crystal so won’t weigh your wrist down or look too ostentatious. The polished capped recessed pushers in 316L stainless steel are matched by a polished steel winding crown, with a Farer bronze cap completing the sporty design. (£1675)
Farer Moritz Watch – £1675
The Farer Moritz Watch (£1675) is race-inspired, with applied blocks of solid Super-Luminova Grade A numerals and markers, which takes the Moritz to a new level in dial production excellence in the Farer range. The flat matte black dial holds the triple sub-dial debossed layout with the sub-dial at 3 featuring a subtle domed effect for quick clarity of readings, while the race-inspired design elements keep the dial layout beautifully functional, with clarity to the fore – right down to the sub-dial at 6, which sweeps seamlessly under the numeral. A slick interpretation of a contemporary sports watch, and one that is definitely going to get pulses racing.
Through the caseback you’ll see a Swiss-made Sellita SW510 BH Elaboré grade hand-wound movement that’s built for demanding use, with a thoroughly impressive 58 hours power reserve. The stunningly detailed movement also provides perlé finishing, blue screws on the main plate, and has been intricately customised on the high end bridge with an engraved Farer monogram chequered sports pattern.
