British watchmakers, Farer, always hit the right notes with their devilishly dapper timepieces and when we saw that they’d released a limited edition offering, we inevitably sat up and took notice. The Charlton Atlantic Orange Edition from Farer is one of two strictly limited edition runs to celebrate the return of the GMT Bezel collection for 2022. Only 50 individually numbered pieces will be made available so move fast if you want to snag one for yourself.
The Farer Charlton Atlantic Orange Edition retails for £1275 and it is purpose-built for crossing time-zones. The limited edition Charlton Atlantic brings the essence of life at sea to the Farer GMT Bezel collection. Characterised by the Atlantic Ocean, striking turquoise quadrant cut dial and angled track indexes infilled with Super-LumiNova – showing off its bold design style.
With the Farer colour aesthetic really being brought to life through multiple finishes and contrasting colour combinations across the four hands, it’s hard not to be impressed. Turning the external bi-directional 24 point rotation ratchet bezel brings an understated but impactful functionality to the watch. Crafted in two-tone orange and white sapphire, it shows the bisection of day-time and night-time for a second time-zone when read against the GMT hour hand.
This top quality timepiece is powered by the Swiss Made SELLITA SW330-2 Top Grade GMT movement. It offers a quick setting date and 24 hand adjustment, bringing a level of functionality to this travel focused complication. The ‘local’ hour/minute hands work on 12-hour time, while the ‘dual time’ GMT hand is independently adjustable to set to any 24-hour time zone and read against the bezel. The outer hour bezel can also be used to track a third time zone. Make sure you don’t miss out on this limited release.
