The Farer World Timer Automatic Collection are intricately designed to show you an uninterrupted view of 24 key cities across the globe in a single glance. Each one boasts a clever mechanism, which is based on Sir Sandford Fleming’s revolutionary system of worldwide time zones – which was first proposed in 1879. The Scottish-born Canadian inventor recommended that the world be divided into time zones, each spaced 15 degrees of longitude apart and this is reflected in the design of this majestic looking timepieces from Farer.

The dial of the Markham World Timer has been designed around the eye-catching white micro piqué pattern witnessed on the base plate. This is a 3-dimensional detail that catches the light in an understated manner. Raised highly polished batons and numerals are infilled in deep blue and combined with the highly polished steel-edged alpha hands, infilled with mint green Grade A Super-LumiNova. At the centre, a map design in blue and white delivers unbeatable clarity within the universal 24-hour disk. Framing the dial is the internal bezel, finished in silk blue with over printed red, powder blue and white. The dial of the Roché World Timer is definitely going to resonate with lovers of lume. By making use of a unique afterglow pigment to provide illuminating markings on the dial, these watches really stand out from the crowd. Raised highly polished batons and numerals match the highly polished steel-edged alpha hands, infilled with mint green Grade A Super-LumiNova.
