Though we know we’ll never own one here at Coolector HQ, it certainly doesn’t hurt to look at some of the most luxurious classic cars on the market and they seldom come much classier than this Ferrari 365 GTC which is available from German car specialists, Schaltkulisse.
The 365 GTC first came to light in 1968 as a replacement to the 330 GTC and on top of an increase in the engine displacement, and a 50/50 weight distribution, it was revolutionary for being the first ever road-going Ferrari to boast a fully independent suspension. The performance figures were brilliant for the time: 0-100 kph in around 6.3 seconds and a top speed of 243 kph. In total, only 168 of the 365 GTC were built, making it twice as rare as a 250 Lusso, and as rare as a 250 GT SWB. So, needless to say, there is a lot of interest in this one from Schaltkulisse.
This Ferrari 365 GTC from Schaltkulisse was completed in March 1969 and delivered through Italcar s.p.a. in Torino, Italy, to its first owner Rocco Jenna from Torino, who paid 7,100,000 Italian Lire for this majestic looking machine. Its current specification is similar to the original exterior colour and it is now presented here in Argento over the Pelle Nera interior.
Over the summer and fall of 2022, this stunning steed has received an extensive overhaul at the hands of Schaltkulisse’s Engineering department at a cost exceeding 35,000 Euros. During the restoration, several rubber bearings have been replaced, the suspension including the stabilator at the front and back have been overhauled, the braking system was overhauled, the carburettors were completely dismantled, cleaned, and adjusted, and a full service was carried out. So it is presented in an immaculate condition.
Given how exceptionally rare the 365 GTC is, and how aesthetically superior it is and a pleasure to drive, their prices can almost be seen as bargains in the world of classic Ferrari’s but, needle to say, you’ll still need deep pockets to acquire this glorious looking machine. Like what you see? Head over to Schaltkulisse now to make your interest known.
