The Goruck Ballistic Mid Trainers ($135) are definitely going to appeal to those who demand a lot from their footwear. Lift heavier. Sprint faster. Ruck harder. And look cool doing it. That’s the foundations upon which this first class footwear from Goruck is built. The new standard in functional fitness footwear with 3X Support™ and 3X Stability for all three of your arches. This latest offering now comes with a mid rise collar for added ankle stability.
BUILT FOR PERFORMANCE
The forefoot of the Goruck Ballistic Mid Trainers is made using an engineered warp knit technology which delivers a seamless one piece vamp and toe cap while offering areas of reinforced strength and other areas of breathability and flexibility. The lace area, midfoot and heel of this quality footwear is crafted from two panels of 1680D CORDURA® Ballistic Nylon — ensuring the toughest Special Forces grade abrasion resistance against the stresses of rope climbs. This 1680D CORDURA® also gurantees superior midfoot and heel support during dynamic movements.
No nonsense in the extreme, the Goruck Ballistic Mid Trainers ($135) anchors your foot with a supportive, injection moulded heel counter that stabilises your heel when you’re doing dynamic, load bearing exercises. The extra top eyelets can be used to create a tight heel lock — typically called a runner’s loop or lock lace — that helps to prevent heel slippage and excessive movement around the ankle. The generous forefoot area gives your toes space to breathe. This extra space, along with the breathable and flexible knit, reduces the friction that can occur if your feet rub against the insides of your shoe.
The Ballistic Trainers use two different types of EVA fused together in a smooth gradient from forefoot to heel. High rebound, high flexibility EVA in the forefoot offers cushion and support for explosive activities. Firm, stable EVA in the heel delivers a stable platform to keep you grounded when lifting or squatting. Last but not least, there are three different rubber compounds that form a single, seamless rubber outsole. Forefoot rubber is formulated for increased grip while the heel area is dense and won’t wear down after miles of running or rucking.
