Handpainted Skills or Skulls Skateboards

Skateboarding is a highly impressive pursuit of which we are entirely incapable here at Coolector HQ but that doesn’t mean to say we can’t admire the excellent design skills which clearly bubble away within this community and we’ve just encountered a mightily impressive collection of skateboards from Skills or Skulls that more than caught our eye.

Skills or Skulls are an Amsterdam purveyor of skateboards who commissioned a talented Dutch artist by the name of Zender who took a number of their fantastic boards and gave them his own unique stamp in the form of some brilliantly stylised artwork on the base of the boards. He worked alongside Skills or Skulls to create the boards for an urban art festival in Amsterdam but such was their popularity, they are now available for purchase online.

Though we couldn’t skateboard if our lives literally depended on it here at Coolector HQ, for those of you with a good deal more equilibrium than us, we dare say that you will have fallen mightily hard for the designer flair of this collaborative effort between Skills or Skulls and Zender. If you’re in the market for a new skateboard and want something that is wonderfully unique and unlike any other out there then a brief perusal of the Skills or Skulls website will be time well spent because we spent an inordinate amount of time on there and we can’t even skateboard.
