We’ve all harboured a grudge against Michael J. Fox since he climbed aboard the hoverboard in Back to the Future II but we might soon be able to live the dream if a new Kickstarter project by the name of the Hendo Hoverboard lives up to its hype and delivers what we’ve all been waiting so long for.
The Hendo Hoverboard is the work of Greg Henderson, who has invested his life savings into endeavouring to create something which has, hitherto, been beyond the reach of all who have tried – a fully functioning hoverboard. It’s not quite as advanced and functional as many people will be wanting as of yet but that’s why the Kickstarter project has been set up, in order to create a foundation to improve the technology of his, admittedly impressive, prototype.
As it stands, the Hendo Hoverboard only hovers to a height of one inch from the ground – we say only, but this is still an impressive feat in itself – and the team of engineers behind its creation are hard at work improving its functionality all the time and we here at Coolector HQ are mightily excited to see just how advanced they can make their prototype. Given how advanced the technology behind this creation is, we won’t even attempt to try and explain it and will instead rely upon the company’s video below:

The hover board is like the Holy Grail for most technology enthusiasts and this creation goes to show that we’re getting within touching distance of it becoming a reality. The Hendo Hoverboard is a hugely exciting endeavour and one that appears to have extremely grand plans for the future of the machines they are creating. Check out a few shots of the Hendo Hoverboard below:
The hoverboard is an invention that has been a long time coming and now that it is potentially on the horizon, it’s difficult not to be excited about the prospect. The Hendo Hoverboard is a little shy of its funding target over on Kickstarter but with over a month left to achieve and a whole world of hoverboard loving backers yet to be reached, we’re in little doubt they will reach it in no time.
