Himalaya 4×4, a renowned vintage Defender restoration and resto-mod builder, recently unveiled a striking silver custom Defender 130 truck and, safe to say, we’re loving it here at The Coolector. This truck is made for adventuring and fun on the road and beyond. It features impressive power with an engine upgrade and an entirely new modern suspension setup.
The Himalaya 4×4 130 is powered by a robust Cummins r2.8 Turbo Diesel engine. It also boasts significant power and performance upgrades, such as a custom-built four-link coilover suspension and Dynatrac axles. These upgrades dramatically increase the original vintage truck’s drivability and overall performance capabilities.
The truck also has grippy Brembo Disc Brakes that provide dramatically improved stopping power. It also has mean-looking Black Rhino 18″ wheels with BF Goodrich performance tires that allow for easy traction control and stickiness on almost any terrain. Limited slip front and rear differentials further enhance traction by shifting torque to the wheel with the most traction, reducing slippage.
Custom Himalaya 4×4 rock sliders with power folding side steps help protect the custom 130’s undercarriage along with a specially-built wiring harness. Himalaya also implemented bespoke-built fender flares and a new front bumper alongside a winch to add an extra layer of protection and safety while off-roading or overlanding on trail runs.
The exterior bodywork features a brilliant sparkling silver paint colourway not often present on such capable adventure vehicles. Himalaya 4×4 took great attention to detail when recreating the Defender 130’s interior. They implemented a sleek two-tone leather-wrapped cabin with an exclusively-designed centre console. A custom JL Audio system provides world-class entertainment, while a modern HVAC system is also incorporated for comfort.
Overall, the Himalaya 4×4 Defender 130 is a stunning and capable truck that is perfect for anyone who loves to adventure. It is sure to turn heads wherever it goes.
