Hoverboard Electric Skateboard

Before you get too excited with this, we should probably put the caveat in here that this contraption doesn’t literally hover, it just sort of looks like it does but that doesn’t mean to say that the Hoverboard Electric Skateboard, which is currently funding over on Kickstarter, isn’t all sorts of awesome.

The Hoverboard Electric Skateboard is the work of Silicon Valley based, Hoverboard Technologies, and whilst it isn’t quite propelling us into full on Marty McFly realities just yet, it definitely looks to be a fun and cool stop-gap until that technology makes it to the mainstream.

With one big wheel in the centre of a skateboard style surface, the real stand-out feature of this cracking device is its lighting and technological capabilities which make it look and feel much like a hoverboard though it doesn’t actually successfully tackle gravity just yet. It boasts a top speed of around 16MPH and has smartphone connectivity with a modular design that should be easy to upgrade in the future. Check out a few more shots below:

Though we find it difficult enough to skate on a regular skateboard, we’re definitely up for the challenge of getting aboard one of these super cool looking Hoverboard Electric Skateboards and if tou’re similarly minded, there is still time to show your support over on Kickstarter.
