With the impending return of Game of Thrones to our screens getting us rather excited here at Coolector HQ, you’ll forgive us for spending undue amounts of our day trawling the internet for awesomeness pertaining to Westeros, White Walkers, Kings Landing et al and we’ve found an absolute belter in the form of this painfully excellent Jon Snow Plush from Irish artist, Mick Minogue.
Entitled The Bastard Son, this fantastically crafted plush figure depicts one of the main protagonists (and perennially grumpy) stars of the show, Jon Snow, and, better still, the plush comes replete with Snow’s trusty sidekick, the direwolf, Ghost. We’ve featured Minogue’s work on the pages of The Coolector before and it never ceases to impress us with its creativity and stylised slant on chief characters from Game of Thrones and this superb looking Jon Snow & Ghost plush is some outrageously awesome that it pains us that it isn’t sitting proudly on our desk as we speak.
Measuring 20 x 10 inches (Jon Snow) and 12 x 10 inches (Ghost) this isn’t some tiny figurine that you’re destined to lose somewhere, it is a cracking piece of art that will take pride of place in the workspace of any Game of Thrones aficionado and we’ve fallen for it hook, line and sinker here at Coolector HQ. Check out a few more shots below:
Expertly capturing the perma-scowl of Jon Snow, this spiffing plush boasts its own Valyrian steel sword ‘Longclaw’ and Ghost has a White Walker hand to chew on. If you’re a fan of Game of Thrones i.e. everyone, then you will join us in desperately wanting this amazing figure on your desk. With the new series a mere matter of weeks away now, superb items like this only serve to heighten our excitement still further and we can’t wait to see which characters come under Minogue’s purview next. Fingers crossed it’s Hodor.
