3D printing is a realm in which we are becoming increasingly interested here at Coolector HQ particularly in light of the technology behind it becoming a good deal more accessible – and the pinnacle of this could be the uber-awesome looking Makerbot Replicator Mini above which looks set to really open the floodgates and make 3D printing easily accessible to all.
Makerbot are chasing the entirely admirable aim of getting one of these technologically advanced 3D printers into every school in the United States and we lend our support to this objective as we can think of few things we would have enjoyed more than having something as awesome as this during The Coolector’s heady school days.
The Makerbot Replicator Mini makes 3D printing more accessible by drastically reducing the dimensions of the unit to make it more suitable for a home or small work environment and whilst we here at The Coolector would likely solely use the device to create robots for a Robot Wars style Battle Royale, we dare say there are those out there who would be able to find many more productive uses for the Makerbot Replicator Mini. This exceptional looking device will be hitting stores this coming spring and we’ll definitely be trying to get our hands on one shortly thereafter.
