Forgetfulness is something that blights Coolector HQ and there are multiple times each day where we will entirely mislay something or other and the chief culprit in terms of getting lost is principally phones but we hope to have a cure for this lack of remembering where we put our phones and other gadgetry courtesy of a pretty awesome looking app called Marco Polo which does exactly what it says on the tin.
For anyone who has ever played Marco Polo, it will be abundantly clear exactly what this great little app does but for those unaccustomed to the childhood game, permit us to explain. In the circumstance of having no clue where your phone is, you can shout “Marco” and your phone will reply with “Polo” until the point you have found it and you can swipe to stop the call.
This is version 2 of the Marco Polo App and it allows you to record custom responses so if you don’t want to hear “Polo” from your phone or tablet and would much rather hear a quote from your favourite movie or something else of your own creation, then that will be within the realms of possibility with this cracking little app. Check out a few more shots below:
If you too lose your phone, tablets and other gadgetry with alarming regularity as we do here at Coolector HQ then this Marco Polo App will likely be music to your ears. It has “find my phone” type functionality which will let you find your array of devices right from your notification centre and better still, it works even when your phone is in sleep or silent mode because that can be the most difficult element of finding an errant phone, when you have to set it to silent.
Whilst this app obviously isn’t going to change the world, it is a fun and genuinely useful way of locating mislaid devices and, for that reason, it definitely gets two thumbs up from us here at The Coolector.
