There are certain vehicles which will inevitably have you picking your jaw up off the floor and this breathtaking Plus Four CX-T from Morgan is certainly one such example. This race-ready monster boasts extreme capabilities which arise from an array of modifications and upgrades that have been carried out. This includes EXE-TC coilover assemblies, Plus Six suspension arms, bespoke bushes, and off-road tyres which all combine to endow this stunner with a drive-over obstacle clearance of 230mm, and the robustness to match, while a three-mode locking differential maximises traction on any type of terrain.
Morgan has a long and storied history in trialling, the all-terrain endurance events which test man and machine to their very limits, and this Plus Four CX-T is a celebration of that fact. As early as 1911, Morgan sports cars were competing – and winning – in these competitions around the UK and the quality of their race machines is second to none. The CX part of the name, you might’ve guessed, is a nod to the versatile CX-Generation bonded aluminium platform which underpins both Morgan’s Plus Four and Plus Six models.
Adventure-Influenced Design
It is clear that there is a spirit of adventure built into the Morgan Plus Four CX-T and this build project was unrestrained and born completely from a desire to deliver an exciting British adventure vehicle. Mission accomplished. Made in conjunction with off-road specialists Rally Raid UK, this glorious vehicle looks set to conquer almost any type of terrain and take you on adventures never previously possible in a Morgan vehicle. Every Plus Four CX-T has been crafted at Morgan’s factory in Malvern, Worcestershire, before undergoing the final preparation and setup at Rally Raid UK’s own workshop facilities.
For travelling on uncharted terrains, this awesome looking Morgan Plus Four CX-T has a rear equipment rack – which incorporates a protective exoskeleton – and houses a selection of stowage solutions. It can be further adapted to carry other leisure equipment like = bikes and surf boards, to compliment the lifestyle activities of the owner. A more understated feature of this majestic machine is a five-piece underbody protection system and full bespoke exhaust system with rear side-exit that enhances the Plus Four CX-T’s all-important departure angle.
A mere eight of these Morgan Plus Four CX-T’s will be built with all finished before the end of 2021 and priced at £170,000 plus local taxes. For that price, you’ll be able to sit down with Morgan’s design team to tailor the specification to your exact requirements and add your own personal touch to this supremely adventure ready machine. It’s hard not to be impressed with the visual impact and performance potential of this vehicle and if you’ve got deep pockets and the spirit for adventure, look no further.
