Given that we’re all spending a lot more time working from home right now, we dare say we’re not alone here at Coolector HQ in wanting to revamp the interior design aesthetic a touch in the homestead and this inevitably has us turning to awesome brands like Muir Way and their stellar line up of vintage, topography inspired prints. If you’re after some bold, eye-catching artwork (and have a penchant for cartography), you’ll love what are to be found on the digital shelves of Muir Way and it’s their Vintage Relief series in particular that we just can’t get enough of.
Muir Way are the brainchild of Jared Prince, who has spent his life exploring the outdoors and America’s National Park system. He’s always been excited to open the map I’d get at the entrance of a new national park he didn’t know so well and those maps were more than just directions around the national park, they’d help awaken me to the beauty and adventure that was about to come. This was the catalyst for the creation of Muir Way and the amazing line up of vintage style, map-inspired prints that they’ve got.
Adding Vintage Vibes to your Walls
Since opening Muir Way in 2013, they have added hundreds of new map designs of National Parks, mountain ranges, hydrology, historic maps, and more so there is definitely no shortage of prints to choose from to jazz up your interior design efforts. They print and frame all of their maps in their shop in San Diego, CA. and try to only use materials made in the USA which include the paper, canvas, and wood used to make our prints. In addition, their packaging materials are either recycled, or at least recyclable.
Muir Way are proud to support the Sierra Club Foundation, Leave No Trace, and the Spokane Riverkeepers with the amazing artwork that they sell. They all do their part to help protect, preserve, and restore America’s wild places and natural resources so certainly all worthy causes to get behind. Whether it’s Muir Way’s Vintage Relief series or their visually vibrant National Park series of prints, there really is something for every design persuasion.
If exploration is your thing and you love vintage maps in general, it’s hard to imagine a more perfect series of artwork for your home or office (or, indeed, home office) walls than the stellar line up of prints from Muir Way.
