We love watches here at Coolector HQ and it’s fair to say that we spend an awful lot of time scouring the web looking for new timepieces for our wrist and one that we’ve found entirely impossible to ignore is the brilliant looking Seals Watch Co Model A.5 Automatic Watch which comes in two, equally as striking, colourways so you can choose the one that best fits in with your style aesthetic and EDC line up.
The Seals Watch Co Model A.5 Automatic Watch has a price tag of $800 which, considering the tangible quality on offer, seems like a small price to pay for such an accomplished and eye-catching timepiece. Designed in collaboration with Matt Smith-Johnson (AKA Teenage Grandpa), this is definitely one of the most striking timepiece releases from Seals Watch Co and unquestionably our favourite to date here at Coolector HQ.
Sporty Design
There is almost a playful aesthetic to the design of the Model A.5 Automatic Watch from Seals and an integrated bracelet style, with a Royal Oak-ish case shape that immediately draws the eye and shows of the fun side of this uber-stylish timepiece. The design collaboration between Seals Watch Co and Matt Smith-Johnson takes its inspiration from colourful 1970’s watches, and Matt’s unique sense of style and design and the end result is a vibrant and contemporary watch that we’re loving here at The Coolector.
The Seals Watch Co Model A.5 Automatic Watch ($800) has lollipop style seconds hand and sans serif roman numerals, which makes this collaboration pull together some uncommon but enjoyable features that are rarely seen from the major Swiss Brands and the aesthetic impact it offers is second to none. Available in both a Burgundy Roulette and Acid Green colour, this watch is certainly no shrinking violet and it will turn heads aplenty and have attention focused firmly on your wrist.
With the Burgundy Roulette version of the watch you’ll find within the patented steel sports case, Seals’ 24 hour “roulette” chapter ring which delivers that bold, vintage style flair to the Model A.5. This is expertly complimented by the red crosshair dial and C3 SuperLuminova, which makes the watch warm in tone yet visually energetic. For the Acid Green version of the A.5 you’ll find it finished with a special pigment that is much brighter than your standard neon green. You could say it’s the greenest green imaginable, and it’s not something you’re going to find elsewhere.
Top Class Specifications
With an $800 price tag, it’s hard to believe the hard quality components and specifications on offer with the Seals Watch Co Model A.5 Automatic Watch. This includes the Miyota 9039 3-Hand, Central Seconds Automatic Movement with 28800 Vibrations per second and a minimum power reserve of some 42 hours. Some of the other stand out features of these timepieces include the brushed satin and polished steel case, Swiss SuperLumiNova on hands and dial and 100 meters of water resistance.
For those who want a timepiece on their wrist that has a touch of aesthetic vibrancy to it, the Seals Watch Co Model A.5 Automatic Watch is going to be a tough one to beat. Numbers are extremely limited with this watch so you’ll need to be quick and have luck on your side to secure one but if you do, chances are this will be the timepiece that you reach for when you leave the house each day.
