Not all motorbikes are created equal and, as if to prove that point, we present to you the SOL Pocket Rocket Bike which, quite frankly, is unlike any steed we’ve encountered before here at Coolector HQ and expertly commingles retro style aesthetics with contemporary performance. It has been designed and engineered by Sol Motors and it stands out from the crowd due to the innovative synergy of lightweight design, performance and connectivity that is impossible to ignore.
The SOL Pocket Rocket Bike is an extraordinary piece of design that has really caught our eye at The Coolector courtesy of its highly unusual design and ingenious craftsmanship. If you’re after a ride that turns heads aplenty and gets you from A to B in some considerable style, the Pocket Rocket is definitely going to tick all of the right boxes. Stylish, impeccably well made and boasting a mighty impressive performance, what’s not to like?
Faster Than A Speeding Bullet
The clear and modern design of the Pocket Rocket Bike from SOL Motors incorporates technology with a functional lifestyle for a contemporary riding experience. It’s not an e-bike: it’s too fast for that. It’s not a moped: it has no pedals (with the creators calling it a “noped” as a result) and what it is actually doing is defining a new category of electric two-wheelers. The Pocket Rocket is the perfect urban commuter vehicle and, safe to say, we’re desperate to get our hands on one here at Coolector HQ.
Designed and engineered in Stuttgart, Germany, the SOL Motors Pocket Rocket Bike has a sleek and streamlined design that is immediately draws the eye and will have heads turning everywhere you go. It is available in two different versions, one with a top speed of 50KPH and the other which tops out at 80KPH and it has a horsepower of either 6 or 8.5HP and it has a torque of up to 150 nm.
With a range of 50-80KM depending on which mode you’re in, it’s clear that you’ll be able to get all your urban commuting done on the Pocket Rocket before it requires a recharge. This magnificent looking ride from SOL Motors is incredibly lightweight and weighs in at a mere 55KG and the stealthy, super cool aesthetic of the machine is the first thing to have had us gravitating towards it here at Coolector HQ.
Top Notch Components
As you would expect from such a well made contraption, a real attention to detail has gone into each element of the design and materials used throughout its construction. It has a lightweight, aluminium frame alongside regenerative braking and LED front, rear and indicator lights that ensure you’re safety during night rides. The battery is removable for external charging with common plug socket which makes it an absolute breeze to recharge when the battery has run down.
The Pocket Rocket from SOL Motors comes with an accompanying app for Android and IOS smartphones and an optional connectivity module for sharing and fleet management integration. It’s not everyday you come across a ride like this one and we can’t wait to see what else SOL Motors come up with in the future if the Pocket Rocket is anything to go by.
