We love the Taylor Stitch workshop here at Coolector HQ but, quite frankly, it must be one of the most hard working and inventive workshops out there given the sheer amount of awesome wares that emerge from it and the latest to have caught our eye is the superb looking Welterweight Winslow Jacket. This cracking piece of outerwear will be your new best friend during the tail end of winter as we transition into spring as it has all manner of great features for keeping the elements at bay.
The Taylor Stitch Welterweight Winslow Jacket is available for pre-ordering via their workshop now and is a bargain price at just $238 – down from the final retail price of $298. It comes in a field tan waxed canvas which is both stylish and robust as they come and such is the versatile aesthetic of the jacket, it will go with any style persuasion you can think of. As with all the awesome goods from Taylor Stitch, the Welterweight Winslow has been responsibly built for the long haul and will be a go-to jacket for many years to come.
Heavyweight Performance
Though it’s called the Welterweight, it’s fair to say that this Winslow Jacket from Taylor Stitch delivers the knockout performance of a heavyweight. There is a tangible sense of quality to this jacket (as is the case with all of Taylor Stitch’s great goods) and it is the latest iteration from their Winslow line up of wares. It is a lighter take on the brand’s fan-favourite silhouette and comes in a timeless field tan colouring that certainly appeals to our sensibilities here at The Coolector.
The Taylor Stitch Welterweight Winslow Jacket ($238) is a cleverly designed waxed canvas jacket and it has been built to be worn all year round – come rain or shine. One of the best features of this classy piece of outerwear from San Francisco brand, Taylor Stitch, is the fact that it has more than enough pockets to carry all your daily essentials and EDC and is durable and robust enough to keep the water and wind at bay.
Chock full of first class features, we’re definitely intending to make the Welterweight Winslow Jacket from Taylor Stitch one of our outerwear choices here at Coolector HQ in 2020. The mid-weight cotton canvas with a water-resistant waxed finish used in its crafting has been made in partnership with the team at Halley Stevensons in the UK. You can’t add a wax treatment to any fabric and expect to make it water resistant. While the proprietary paraffin wax ‘seals the deal,’ water resistance starts with a tight box weave. The weave that Taylor Stitch have developed for their Welterweight Winslow is so tight that’s it’s actually nigh on impossible to see with the naked eye.
Devilish Attention to Detail
It is often the small touches and features which really sets the apparel from Taylor Stitch apart and so it proves once again with the Welterweight Winslow Jacket. Some of the most impressive features of this classy piece of outerwear include the 5.5-oz. 100% waxed organic cotton canvas developed with Halley Stevensons, two patch pockets at the chest, two wool blanket lined lower hand-warmer pockets with flaps and custom Taylor Stitch antique brass YKK snaps.
Available for the great price of $238 during the pre-funding phase on the workshop, the Taylor Stitch Welterweight Winslow represents exceptional value for money right now and its style and fit is second to none. If you’re after a jacket that can be worn all year round and looks excellent whatever the occasion, you’ve just found it.
