The guys at Danner are always the first stop for any man seeking a new pair of hiking boots in our experience so when they joined forces with another of our favourite brands, Taylor Stitch, to create an uncompromising piece of footwear, we inevitably sat up and took notice here at Coolector HQ. Say hello to the Taylor Stitch x Danner Ridge Boot in Painted Camo – your new autumn adventure ally for all your hikes and sojourns into the wild over the next few months.
The Taylor Stitch x Danner Ridge Boot in Painted Camo cost $470 but it is the sort of footwear that you’ll be rocking in the great outdoors for many years to come so consider it an investment rather than a sizeable purchase. Taylor Stitch and Danner, two outdoor experts, collaborated on a special edition of Danner’s iconic lightweight hiker, The Danner Ridge. The Danner Ridge is crafted with a single, featherweight piece that integrates the shank, midsole, and lasting board. This uncompromising ingenuity and craftsmanship is a direct descendant of the rugged boots made by Charles Danner himself. What’s not to like?
Taylor Stitch has knocked things up a notch for this limited edition boot with waxed canvas accents from the masters at Halley Stevensons and a vintage-inspired painted camo finish that adds a stealthy but exceptionally cool design aesthetic to proceedings. The Danner Ridge in Painted Camo is an impeccably well-made boot that combines traditional materials with modern technology. The upper is made from a mix of olive leather, pebbled brown leather, and Painted Camo waxed canvas from Halley Stevensons, Scotland, which delivers unparalleled durability and weather resistance. The boot also features a waterproof GORE-TEX liner to keep your feet dry in wet conditions.
Rebuildable stitch-down construction secures the upper to a Vibram® Kletterlift Thin outsole with a removable OrthoLite footbed for unparalleled comfort and easy break-in to ensure you’re ready to wear these boots pretty much out of the box. This limited edition collab has lacing eyelets and speed hooks that sit atop the olive leather and each pair is recraftable and resoleable to ensure that these boots will be right by your side (or, indeed, on your feet) for many outdoor adventures to come.
