If you’re the narcissistic sort who likes to see images of themselves as regularly as possible then you’ll definitely want to keep your eye on the offerings from a new company that heralds from Hamburg, Germany, that goes by the name of Twinkind. There has been a lot of interest in 3D printers and printing of late and, truth be told, I was a little underwhelmed by the quality of the prints emerging from 3D printers until I cast eyes upon these, frankly astounding, photo-realistic 3D representations of yourself that you can print for a mere $300.
These exceptional figurines are made possible through the use of the latest in 360-degree scanning technologies and has made it a reality to turn yourself, your loved one or even your pets into your very own mini-representation of that person or animal. These Twinkind models are available in an array of sizes ranging from 6 inches all the way to 13 inches or so (though this size will set you back in excess of £800 or thereabouts).
Twinkind is the brainchild of two German creatives that go by the name of Kristina Neurohr and Timo Schaedel and, safe to say, they’ve certainly impressed The Coolector with their handiwork. A truly impressive example of the sort of direction in which 3D printing is headed and as the photo-realism of this technology becomes increasingly apparent – it is sure to increase the amount of products and creativity exponentially.
